All application materials for the Digital Media M.S. Program (formerly known as the Information Design & Technology Program) must be received by January 9th, 2017 for Fall 2017 admissions.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Applications must be submitted online at http://grad.gatech.edu/apply-now. In addition, you must provide a writing sample and a URL for web-based work samples in your online application.
MS APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
• Graduate Record Exam (GRE) test scores (Code 5248)
• TOEFL score for non-native English speakers (Code 5248)
• Completed on-line Georgia Tech Graduate Application Form
• Georgia Tech Application Fee: $75.00
• Certified undergraduate transcript (also graduate transcripts, if applicable)
• Three letters of recommendation
• Statement of purpose explaining the role of the DM program in the applicant’s creative, intellectual, and professional development
• Writing sample and/or Online portfolio submitted through the application
Writing Sample Guidelines
WORK SAMPLE GUIDELINES
The work sample should be a sample of your own work that demonstrates your potential as a practitioner and analyst of digital media. Provide 1-3 concrete examples of a computational artifact that demonstrates your creative and technical abilities in expressive computing. Choose work that supports your research trajectory as described in the Statement of Purpose. A URL pointer to work on the Internet is required.
All prospective students applying to the Digital Media Program must submit Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores. All scores must be submitted to the following educational codes. If you are submitting your scores via the wizard at the conclusion of the computer-based test, submit it to “Communications / Communications-Other” under Georgia Tech.

Score reports for computer-based tests are released to the Georgia Tech Graduate Admissions office and the School of LMC approximately 6 weeks after the test date, and must include the correct LMC department code for delivery to DM admissions. Scores must be sent from ETS directly to DM admissions for scores to be considered valid.
If you did not enter the above codes at the conclusion of the computer-based test, please contact the ETS promptly to ensure the scores are sent to the correct school and department. If they are unable to be sent in the next electronic batch, please arrange for them to be mailed for receipt by February 1 to the following address:
