The conference will be held at the Georgian Terrace Hotel is located in the heart of Atlanta’s business and cultural district, across from the Fox Theatre, and just blocks from the Georgia Tech campus. Atlanta’s Jackson-Hartsfield Airport is an international gateway to the United States and ranked as the busiest airport in the world, as well as the largest airline hub in the US.
 
Getting to and from the Georgian Terrace from the Airport is a breeze. The hotel is located in Midtown Atlanta, at the intersection of Peachtree Street and Ponce de Leon Avenue, two blocks from the North Avenue MARTA Station (Atlanta’s Rapid Transit Rail), and a twenty minute drive via a taxi or car.

Georgia Tech Digital Media Program

Situated in a humanities school within a technological university, the Digital Media Master’s Program is the oldest of its kind in the U.S., and one of the first to offer a game studies and design curriculum. Founded in 1993, the Digital Media program seeks to blend theory and practice to create a new generation of humanistically informed digital media practitioner/theorist.
 
In addition to its bellweather Master’s Program, Digital Media has also added a Ph.D. program as well as collaborating with Georgia Tech’s School of Computing to create the Computational Media Undergraduate program. These educational programs are supported by a diverse interdisciplinary faculty engaged in a variety of digital media research, including games research in the areas of serious games, artificial intelligence, massively multiplayer gamers, and video game history and theory, as well as other non-game related fields, such as public media, creativity and learning.
