Describe your interests in the DM field.
It’s hard to narrow this down, but I will try my best:
• Civic Media
• Design Interaction
• Organizational Design
• Design Thinking
Why did you choose Georgia tech as your college?
Best value for a world class education and a great Alumni community. The Atlanta area is growing rapidly with plenty of job opportunities available locally, the city also has many interesting neighbourhoods worth exploring over weekends and holidays. Lastly, the department provides easy access to technical expertise and designers all in one place.
What are your ambitions after finishing the DM program?
I could see myself becoming a Professor and continuing to be involved in industry through research projects. At the same time, I can see myself returning to industry to work in an innovation hub. That’s the great thing about the program it provides me enough flexibility to do both.
Why would you recommend the DM program to others?
This program is right at the intersection of Design, Technology and Society. All those things are necessary for shaping future technologies. We are able experience unique perspectives that have the power to create a positive impact.
