What activities are you involved with on campus? (project studios, collaborative projects, GRAs, clubs, etc)
I work full-time on campus, but I also do pro bono work for a sloth sanctuary and volunteer at a local brewery.
Describe your interests in the DM field?
Creating digital experiences for wildlife, digital enrichment, and data visualization
What has been your favorite project you’ve worked on so far?
My project thesis – Digital Painting with Orangutans
Why did you choose Digital Media at Georgia Tech?
I met several amazing DM alums and wanted to work on projects I’ve always wanted to try while working at the zoo.
What are your ambitions after finishing the Digital Media program?
I would love to continue working with wildlife and digital technologies – hi GoogleX, Microsoft Research!
Why would you recommend the Digital Media program to others?
Digital Media is a good blend of liberal arts and applied technology, which seems to be incredibly rare in higher education. It’s about creating an object or artifact with substance and well thought-out implications.
