Professor, Division Chair for Arts Humanities at Spelman College
Currently, I am assisting the president with reimagining our arts programs in anticipation of renovated facilities; spearheading discussions around curriculum redesign; traveling to visit other arts facilities that might serve as models for our programs; hiring consultants to discuss new possibilities for our arts curriculum; facilitating partnerships with other institutions around art and technology.

I’ve recently completed HERadventure, an interactive film funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.
How do you think the program helped prepare you for your life after Georgia Tech?
The program did what I was hoping that it would do – open up the world of interactivity as part of my moving image practice. Unexpectedly, it also helped to prepare me as a better teacher and arts administrator within an academic institution.
