CARE

CARE (Center for Assessment, Referral, and Education) is the primary resource for mental health support at Georgia Tech. Students seeking assistance from the Counseling Center or Stamps Psychiatry need to visit CARE first for a primary assessment and referral to on and off-campus mental health and well-being resources.


STAR

STAR (Students’ Temporary Assistance and Resources) is an organization that provides stability for students to pursue a fulfilling college experience. It provides assistance with obtaining food, finances, clothing, housing, and connections, and ensures that all students have the resources to attend Georgia Tech in a feasible way.

Peer Coaching Program

Welcome to the Peer Coaching Program! Peer Coaching was developed by the Center for Mental Health Care and Resources (CMHCR) to offer an innovative way to meet the needs of Georgia Tech students.


 

All intramural participants are required to register themselves on the hosting platform, IMLeagues. Participants must purchase a GTIM pass to play intramurals. Please see the intramural website for more information

LGBTQIA Resource Center

The LGBTQIA Resource Center at Georgia Tech coordinates a range of programs and events throughout the year aimed at educating faculty, students, and staff, providing safe spaces for students to build community and explore their identities, and facilitating conversations about intercultural community building and belonging. Women's Health Clinic

Women’s Health provides routine, preventive health services such as annual gynecologic wellness exams, pap tests, contraception consults and screenings for sexually transmitted infections.  Our Board Certified OB/GYN physician and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses can also diagnose and treat common gynecologic problems. Care is provided in a comfortable, private environment and is tailored to your specific needs and concerns.


Women Resource Center

The Georgia Tech Women’s Resource Center advances gender equity across identities by cultivating opportunities for community building, transformative learning, collaborative leadership, and identity development for graduate and undergraduate women.

The Communication Center supports writers and communicators from across the Georgia Tech community with communication skills and projects related to their academic work, careers, and civic and community lives.   1. PhD Students= Maximum permit request up to 4 courses
    DMMS Students= Maximum permit request up to 4 courses
    HCI- DM Students= Maximum permit request up to 4 courses
    Continuing BS/MS-LMC/CS Students: Maximum permit request up to 2 courses
     
  • Independent Study Process:
    - Contact the Faculty you wish to do Independent Study with.
    -  Provide a brief statement of the research you wish to focus on.
    - If approved, please complete the following Independent Study Form 
    - After submission of the Independent Study Form, you will receive a course permit to register for LMC 8910
  • During the Phase I registration period, priority will be given to DM, HCI MS-DM, and continuing BS/MS students.
  • Non-DM major and newly admitted BS/MS students will register during the phase II registration period.  Non-DM majors and newly admitted BS/MS students can complete the following form for permit requests.
