What have you been doing since you graduated?
Since graduating I got married, moved to Texas, and started working at IBM.

What is your current job? In 2 or 3 sentences, can you explain what your position is and what some of your responsibilities are?
I am currently a User Experience Designer with IBM Designer. I work with Watson, our cognitive computing (artificial intelligence) business unit. My team creates apps that utilize cognitive computing for enterprise businesses applications.

Can you tell us about a recent project you’ve worked on that you were really excited about?
I recently finished a project working with some of the worlds leading researchers on quantum computing. Our goal was to work with these researchers to help tell the story of quantum computing in a way that is no longer science fiction but science fact. It was extremely exciting to get to see and use a real quantum computer, and although the project was quite challenging, it was exciting to be designing for such nascent technology.

How do you think the program helped prepare you for your life after Georgia Tech?
Digital Media was instrumental in preparing me for life outside of academia. The program’s focus on design, research, technology, and how people are affected by these things helped me enter the work force not only ready to do good work, but capable of having a positive impact in a field that matters.
