Where are you from?
Princeton, New Jersey
What is your educational and/or professional background?
I left High School when I was 16 and went to community college for two years. Then I got my GED and came to Georgia Tech as an undergrad in Computational Media. I am currently in my final year of CM and first year of DM through the joint degree program.
What activities are you involved with on campus?
I help manage the GT Men’s Ice Hockey team and their website. I also do stage management and lighting design for DramaTech – the university’s student run theater.
Describe your interests in the digital media field.
I like to be creative and use technology to express myself rather than just coding algorithms.
What has been your favorite project you’ve worked on so far? Why?
My favorite project in my Georgia Tech career so far has been designing and coding a game for Game Boy Advance. It was great because I could finally implement all of those “I really wish this game had xyz component to it” ideas I had as a kid playing GBA. It was a project that was very close to my heart because… nostalgia!
What are your ambitions after finishing the Digital Media program?
I hope to work for a company that does digital marketing. Essentially, a company that makes media for other companies. Someone like Razorfish or Isobar. I also think it’d be kind of cool to do digital/interactive journalism for the New York Times, but there’s no money in journalism, ha.
