Reflecting the increased interest in the arts on Georgia Tech’s campus, and the rich set of diverse research projects at Georgia Tech that are focused on various intersections of performance and technology, we are pleased to present “Performing Technology:Symposium on Digital Media, Stage and Performative Applications.” The symposium is being held in tandem with the performance of the play, after the quake, based on short stories by Haruki Murakami and adapted for the stage by Frank Galati. Designs for after the quake incorporate digital technologies in innovative ways, and were developed in an undergraduate STAC special topics course taught by Melissa Foulger and Rebecca Rouse in Fall 2012.
